They say everything changes when you have a baby—and they’re right. But not in the way that others warn you about. Our first family trip as a trio was proof that travel doesn’t have to stop—it just gets better, softer, and sweeter.
My husband Mitch, our 4 month old son Ever, and I recently spent a few dreamy days at Pueblo Bonito Los Cabos in Baja California Sur, Mexico. And honestly, it was everything we hoped for and more. We arrived in search of sunshine, serenity, and a chance to slow down and soak in this new season of life—and this resort delivered on all fronts.
“Suite with a View” was an Understatement
Our suite was a reprieve of plush comfort and Mediterranean style, featuring a spacious layout with a separate bedroom, a cozy living area, and a fully equipped kitchenette, perfect for preparing and cleaning baby bottles. But the star of the show was the incredible beachfront location!
Our private balcony offered unobstructed, breathtaking views of Medano Beach and the iconic El Arco rock formation at Land’s End. Waking up to a coffee taking in the soft hues of sunrise and winding down with fiery Baja sunsets—and even catching fireworks from our balcony (each night!)—felt like a dream.
Beach Days, Done Right
One of the absolute highlights of our stay? Long and relaxed beach days with our sweet little boy (the BEST place to be nap-trapped!)
Pueblo Bonito Los Cabos is located right on Medano Beach—the only swimmable beach in Cabo—which made it easy and safe to enjoy the ocean with our baby on a calm day.
We spent our days reading under the warm Baja sun, dipping our toes in the warm Pacific, and introducing Ever to the sea and soft sand.
The resort set us up with a private beachfront cabana, and it was honestly a lifesaver. It came with multiple plush sun loungers, a large umbrella, and dedicated all-inclusive food and drink service. Having so much room to spread out was incredible, as babies come with a lot of “stuff”!
It gave us a shaded, peaceful retreat just steps from the water—perfect for nursing, napping, and simply taking a break when Ever needed it.
There’s something extra special about sipping a cold drink, watching the waves roll in, and cuddling your baby under a beach umbrella with nowhere else to be, and it’ll be a memory I cherish forever.
The resort’s large, beautiful free-form swimming pool was perfect for our little family. Ever experienced his first pool float, and the joy on his face was priceless.
The pool area was serene, with ample space to relax and soak up the sun. Staff went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable, bringing drinks with a smile and checking in regularly to see if we needed anything.
Delish All-Inclusive Dining Options
Dining at Pueblo Bonito Los Cabos was a wonderful experience. We enjoyed meals at Cilantro’s Restaurant, which offers a beachfront setting and a menu filled with fresh seafood and international dishes. The servers were incredibly warm and accommodating, making sure Ever was comfortable and happy.
We also dined at Las Palomas, the resort’s other restaurant, which serves regional Mexican dishes and international favorites in a relaxed atmosphere. The all-inclusive package allowed us to indulge in delicious food and drinks without a second thought. And for those that aren’t fans of buffets (as I’m not), this resort focuses on made-to-order meals off an excellent menu. Yum!
Spa Serenity, Perfect for Tired Mamas
I was treated to a massage at the Armonia Spa located at the neighboring Pueblo Bonito Rosé. The spa’s tranquil ambiance and skilled therapists provided a much-needed moment of relaxation and rejuvenation. My shoulders and back can get really sore carrying Ever, and this was the perfect way to melt away some tension. It was a highlight of the trip, a nice dose of “me” time, and a reminder of the importance of self-care – even (maybe especially) on family vacations.
Pueblo Bonito’s Family-Friendly Amenities
Pueblo Bonito Los Cabos truly caters to families. The resort offers a Kids’ Club with activities for children, ensuring that young guests are entertained and engaged. While Ever is still too young to participate, it’s reassuring to know that future visits will have plenty of options for him. The resort’s “stay at one, play at others” policy allowed us to explore amenities at nearby Pueblo Bonito sister properties, like the Pueblo Bonito Rosé, which was just a short walk away.
Prime Location on Stunning Medano Beach
One of our favorite activities was taking morning walks along Medano Beach, the only swimmable beach in Cabo San Lucas. The beach’s calm waters and soft sand made it ideal for leisurely strolls with Ever strapped to me in his baby carrier. The resort’s excellent location with close proximity to town also meant we could easily explore local shops and cafes if we wanted to – though the resort experience was so lovely we decided not to leave (this time!)
Final Thoughts About Our Stay
This trip wasn’t about checking off a bunch of sights or going nonstop—it was about resting, connecting, and sharing new experiences as a family. And for that, Pueblo Bonito Los Cabos was absolutely perfect.
