Temperatures in Cancun in December hover around a comfortable 82 degrees Fahrenheit (28 degrees Celsius) average maximum temperature during the day and dip to a refreshing 72 degrees (22 degrees Celsius) at night. It’s important to note that most days are sunny days with very few clouds – if you’re planning outdoor activities or water sports, then this is great news for you!

If you’re looking for a sunny, warm getaway this winter, Cancun should definitely be on your list, as December is an ideal time to visit, with pleasant temperatures and lots of sun. However, stay away from Christmas time if you can, as this is peak season and probably the most popular time to visit Cancun.

Depending on the type of weather you enjoy while on vacation, December could indeed be the best time for your visit to Cancun!

The rainy season in Cancun and area runs from late August into November.
