The Bric Hotel & Spa: An Amazing Hidden Gem in Playa Del Carmen
I’m letting you in on the secret of this lovely little hidden gem of a hotel and spa in Playa Del Carmen
Playa Del Carmen is BUSY! It’s also a bit chaotic, and noisy, with a lot of hustle and bustle at all hours. If you’re visiting the area, I highly recommend sneaking away to this charming little hotel spa for some much-deserved pampering and relaxation.

About The Bric Hotel & Spa in Playa Del Carmen
The Bric Hotel and Spa is a 14-room boutique hotel that is located right in the heart of all of the action in Playa Del Carmen – though once you’re there, it feels miles and miles away from it all.
The hotel is located right off popular 5th Ave and 28th Street, and is located extremely close to many fantastic restaurants, bars, and beaches. Even though the hotel and spa is centrally located, the Bric is very peaceful and quiet (which is such a nice reprieve when you’re spending lots of time in Playa!)
The outside of the hotel is covered in gorgeous bougainvillea that droop picturesquely over white stucco walls. The pretty courtyard and pool is surrounded by swaying palm trees and lush greenery – such a perfect little dreamy retreat.

Our experience: The Bric Spa’s 120 min “Couples Rekindle Ritual”
The week of our wedding was BUSY!!! Even though this was a small wedding of just 10 guests, there was still so much going on during the lead-up to the wedding. I was acting as my own wedding planner and was crazy busy getting everything in order and dealing with all of the last-minute issues that popped up.
Mitch and I decided that we needed a little spa day to pamper ourselves and disconnect from the chaos of wedding planning. We chose The Bric’s 2-hour Couples Rekindle Ritual package.
The Bric’s Couples Rekindle Ritual Package includes:
- a relaxing footbath
- a body scrub made from seasonal tropical fruits
- a peaceful shower for two
- hot stone couples massage
- complimentary glass of wine
- vegan chocolate truffles
It was the absolutely perfect way to wind down, relax and recharge from the wedding insanity!
Once we arrived at the Spa, we found ourselves in awe of the hotel’s gorgeous lush courtyard and pretty outdoor swimming pool.
After taking it in for a few moments, we made our way to the spa and were greeted by Jacqueline and her two cute little chihuahuas. Jackie was so incredibly sweet, and had such great energy about her! We instantly felt welcomed and at peace, and it was so nice to chat with a fellow Canadian expat!
The spa experience started off with us changing into the hotel’s robes and slippers, then moving into the couples’ treatment room for some warm foot baths, which were such a treat for our tired feet. Our therapists were gentle and friendly.
Next we each had a body scrub, which was made using natural ingredients and smelled delicious!
Once we were exfoliated, we rinsed the scrub off in a relaxing shower for two, then went back to the treatment room for our hot stone massages (my favorite!).
These were wonderful massages, both relaxing and also healing for our sore bodies.
After our massages were over, we retreated to the relaxation room and enjoyed a glass of wine and some vegan chocolates (so very delicious!)
We also had a chance to chat with Jackie some more; such a lovely woman who is very passionate about what she does!
What an amazing way to end such a relaxing spa day. We couldn’t stop raving about our wonderful day of pampering!
