Paloma Weddings in Cancun: If you’re planning a wedding in the Riviera Maya and are hoping to find the wedding dress of your dreams, Cancun is your best bet to begin your wedding dress shopping experience. This stylish and cosmopolitan city has it all, including fantastic shopping.
However, you won’t have to look far to find your perfect wedding dress. I found an absolutely fantastic bridal salon in Cancun, called Paloma Weddings, where I fell completely in love with my dream wedding dress!
And the best part of Paloma Weddings is Paloma (the owner) herself! She is sweet, friendly, passionate, and incredibly talented at finding all of her brides their perfect wedding dress!

Where is Paloma Weddings Located in Cancun?
Paloma Weddings is located just a bit NorthWest of the main tourist strip in Cancun. If you’re staying at a hotel in the popular tourist district, Paloma’s is just a short drive away.
It’s easily accessible, and a great location to begin your wedding dress shopping! There are a few other wedding dress shops on the strip too, but I’m certain you’ll find your own perfect dress during your first visit to Paloma’s.
However, Paloma has an exciting new store opening soon in Cancun’s high-end luxury mall – more information on this to come shortly!

Who is Paloma of Paloma Weddings?
Paloma Ceballo, the namesake of Paloma Weddings, is one of the warmest and most authentic women I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. Paloma is the founder of the Bridal Dresses brand Paloma Weddings, which is a Taylor-made Bridal Experience. Her passion for everything “bridal” really shines through in everything she does.
Paloma handles everything in the bridal shop. She will meet with you personally to discuss your vision of your wedding dress and will listen to the dress styles and features you are looking for. She’ll help you choose styles to try on that match your vision and flatter your body type, and will help you try on the dresses in the bridal salon.
She designs some of the wedding dresses available at Paloma’s. She curates the rest from bridal designers, creating a large collection of styles, shapes, and shades for every unique bride. I was overwhelmed by the number of gorgeous dresses available in the store, but she made it easy to narrow it down to a handful for me to try on.
Paloma says, “I inherited my taste from my mother and grandmother, who started a family business of wedding dresses and haute couture. I grew up among tulles, laces, appliques, and anecdotes of tradition that today are valuable memories printed in my memory.”
She says that “accompanying the bride and sharing the vision of finding the ideal wedding dress that she will wear on one of the most important days of her life is my greatest source of inspiration.”
Paloma also handles alterations at the store, and she’s an incredibly talented seamstress. I wanted some additional lace details added to my dress. She happily found a way to make this happen, using some lace from an additional material swatch, and adding some lace from the bottom of my dress that had to be removed when it was shortened anyway. She is creative, solution-oriented, and totally dedicated to making your dream vision come true.
Her talents reach far beyond this, though. Her warm personality and approachableness make you feel like you’ve made a fast new friend, one you can trust with finding you your dream dress for the most important day of your life. Paloma truly cares about her brides, and her goal is to match each unique bride to that perfect dress for them.

My Wedding Dress Shopping Experience at Paloma Weddings
My wedding dress shopping experience at Paloma’s couldn’t have been better. From the moment I arrived at the store, I felt completely taken care of, by my very own bridal expert!
Paloma greeted me warmly as I entered the shop, and advised me that she would be with me shortly as she finished up with her other bride. I loved that she gives all of her attention to her brides. She asked me to have a look around the store and see what I liked. We had spoken online prior to meeting in person and I had sent her photos from my Pinterest board of my dream wedding dresses, so she already had an idea of what I would like and had pulled a couple of options aside for me.
I tried on three dresses in total. The very first dress was Paloma’s pick for me, which she thought would look beautiful on my body shape and was light and airy enough for a beach wedding. It was still incredibly elegant, detailed, and full of texture (which I asked for), without being heavy. I loved it immediately after I slipped into it, and didn’t want to take it off.
I had “the dress” moment then and there, in that very first dress that she pulled for me! However, I opted to try on a couple more dresses that Paloma had pulled for me (just in case) that were very similar to the inspiration photos I had sent her. All were beautiful and exactly what I asked for. However, the perfect dress for me was still the very first dress she had chosen for me and put me in! Her intuition about what her brides really are looking for is just so incredibly accurate.
And that was it – I put the first dress back on again, she popped a veil on my head, and I knew that was The One. I officially said “Yes” to the dress!
And even better, it fit like a dream as it was in the sample size and didn’t need any alterations at all, just to be shortened a little bit since I would be wearing flat sandals. Paloma took my measurements (for shortening the dress) and pinned it for alterations.
I went home, smiling from ear to ear about such a lovely and easy and enjoyable dress-shopping experience. It was difficult having to wait another few weeks to wear my dress, as I was just so in love with it and couldn’t wait for Mitch to see me in it!
