In honor of Valentine’s Day approaching, I figured it was time to put together an official list for you of my favourite Banff and Canmore hotels for a romantic stay! There’s nothing more magical and special than staying in an accomodation straight out of a fairytale book nestled in the mountains, sipping hot chocolate under a cozy blanket with your favourite person in the world.
All of these recommendations appear to have availability for Valentine’s Day weekend (if you’re a local of the area looking for a staycation). Feel free to save this post for future planning purposes when the time is right to travel to Banff and area again.

The Fox Hotels & Suites

- Hike Johnston’s Canyon
- Go ice skating around Banff and Lake Louise: here are some of my favorite places to skate
- Drive the gorgeous Icefields Parkway
- Take one of the amazing hikes in the area, such as the Johnston Canyon Ice Walk
- Check out the “downtown” area of Banff for some shopping
- Photograph the famous Morant’s Curve: less than a 10 minute drive from Baker Creek!
- Go skiing, snowboarding, or tubing at Mount Norquay Ski Resort
